Good examples include counting calories, counting the steps you take in a day (with that device), writing down every time you smoke a cigarette, tracking profit and sales in your business, tracking your negative reaction to a co-worker, tracking your personal expenses, tracking how often you get sick, etc. There are many things we can track in our life, both easy and complex behaviors. The moment you become consciously aware of a behavior you already begin to change it.
Try tacking something for a week and see how it shifts.
