As a former collegiate athlete I know what it is to push my body beyond my physical limit and I also know how much of a mental game it all is. I wish I had know back then how to use techniques like anchoring and trance (or "the zone") more strategically. I did do it then, we all get into the zone, but it would have been cool know how to access that state on demand. I'm pretty sure I would have been a different athlete. I know this because I just recently used these techniques earlier this year when I ran my first Half Marathon. While I was training I would anchor in the peak state of being "in the zone," that feeling you get when you feel like you could run forever. Every time I was in that state I achored it in my body. Then during the race I elicited it. The race was a breeze, it felt easy in fact.
It was pretty cool and now I do that all the time. Every time I experience a particular state that I want be able to go right back to I anchor it. This is helpful particularly if you are a presenter, give speeches, go on dates and many other things. There are ways to elicit certain states instantly to perform with confidence, enthusiasm, focus or any other feeling that would be helpful to you.
It's cool stuff. If you are interested in learning more about anchoring, hypnosis or other fun
techniques to help you succeed in life, hit me up.
