A few years a go my friends and I decided to start the new year with a 100 challenge. We each picked a practice we would do for 100 days and held each other accountable through the process. I have since kept doing this challenge for myself over the last 3 New Years. This year I am doing it again. I will integrate a new habit for 100 days (and probably beyond). Anyone who wants to join me in practicing something new is welcome to. Even though we are already half way through January you can still start now and keep count. I was busy launching my new program which is why this post is coming a little later.
A few tips to successfully complete this 100 challenge:
1. Pick a practice that needs little to no equipment. That way it will be easier to do your practice in different contexts and environments (i.e. while on vacation, or in your car, or at work, etc).
2. Pick a practice that you can realistically stick to. Don't overwhelm yourself because it will be difficult to stick with it.
3. Do it with a buddy so you can hold each other accountable. Accountability is a great tool to keep yourself motivated.
4. Have fun and allow the process to be fluid. Notice the daily shifts in how you feel over the next few months as you practice this new habit.
My 100 Day Challenge of 2015:
This year I will be doing a daily money manifestation practice. It's a practice in spending my soon to be coming fortune. Every day I write out virtual checks and visualize how I would spend my extra money. I started at $1000 and add $1000 each day. So day 1 is $1000, day two is $2000, etc. I actually started this practice a month ago and have already experienced wonderful outcomes from doing it. I'm currently up to $81,000 (some days I wrote multiple checks for a few days in a row). This little game is a really great way to start subconsciously shifting your story around money and practice the art of allowing.
Instead of setting new year's resolutions this is my fun new tradition that still requires commitment and dedication. Hopefully it inspires you to do something new too. Join me in practicing a new habit for 100 days.
What new habit would you like to practice this year?
