I know some people would argue that there is no shortcut to success. But I disagree, you can master things a lot quicker than most people have you believe. How, you say? The answer is to model successful behavior. Success leaves clues and usually it does not involve reinventing the wheel.
The fastest way to become successful at something is to find a genius in the area that you want to succeed at and model their behavior. When you do this you are taking a short cut to excellence. If one person can do something it is possible to copy it and teach it to others. Really if it is humanly possible it is also within your reach.
You want to get better at business, boxing, music, dancing, marketing, blogging, money management, cooking, relationships, happiness, teaching, writing, parenting, martial arts, health, etc.? Find the person who is the best in their field and figure out how they did it. Then do the same.
One important note about modeling behavior: Only copy the particular behavior/strategy/skill that the other person has mastered. Try not to model everything that person does in other parts of their life. They may conduct the rest of their life in ways that may not jive with you, so be specific and focused on the particular strategy you want to model.
Modeling is something we do naturally when we are young and learning to navigate the world. That is why having great mentors and elders is helpful. Why not continue using this tool to master new skills? There are many people out there who are already successful at something that you want to get better at, so find them and learn from them.
Stop wasting so much time. To succeed, just model other successful people.
